Are you still happy with their service?

I have 5 lines with US Mobile (1 smartphone, 4 dumb phones) and am very happy with their service. I've had it for years. If there are ever any issues they are very responsive over chat (tip: if something isn't working, ask them to re-provision your services as the first troubleshooting step).

I have the smartphone on an unlimited basic line ($25) and the 4 dumb phones on a shared data pool ($34 for all of them). So $59 for 5 phones, unlimited talk, text, and data (for the smartphone, the dumb phones have 2GB to share which is way more than enough for any pictures I send them). They have a no data kosher plan but the data pool is better because it also has free calls and texts to international numbers.

For 8 phones, if you do the same thing, it will be $58 for all the dumb phones together, then if you want unlimited data, another $25 for the smartphone. So $83 altogether. (A little less if you do an annual plan for the smartphone.)

(If you are anyhow considering switching, here is my referral link. https://www.usmobile.com/refer.....erral ) <-- if this is against forum rules lmk and I will remove, but figured may as well give a few $ to a fellow Jew if you are already signing up

I switched my own line to Visible+ ($30 promo) because I need unlimited hotspot data for myself.

It's a mobile phone plan by Verizon with actually unlimited data. They sometimes deprioritize it (meaning if you are in a very busy area you might get lower speeds) but you will never run out. The hotspot speed is capped but it's fine for me, and you'll never run out of hotspot data either. Officially it is only allowed for connecting to one main device, not as a substitute for home internet. I use it for my laptop.

They currently have a great introductory promo, $30/month for 25 months for the higher tier plan (code SWITCH25). I did have a glitch the first day I signed up and needed to download a new e-sim from the app, but working great now.

HI, sure - happy to put in your referral link.

I'm trying to figure out if I should switch my smartphone over or just all of the dumbphones. I also need hotspot and alot of data...

Depends what "a lot of data" means. DH uses a lot (around 10-15 GB per month) and is fine on the $25 plan from US Mobile. I use over 60 GB of hotspot data alone and the US Mobile higher tier unlimited (100GB priority phone data, 50GB hotspot data for $45) was not enough for me.

I think that with this promo ($30/month) Visible is a clear winner.

One advantage USMobile still has is a certain amount of free roaming in almost any country (including Israel). Visible gives you one free "global pass" day per month which gives you calls and data in another country. (Both have free Canada roaming.) But since I don't go abroad that often (=at all) it's not a major sticking point.

USMobile also can let you switch between carriers, so for example switch to T-Mobile if they have better service in your area. Visible is Verizon only, but anyhow Verizon has the best service in most places.

Just wanna thank the OP for this link!!!! I was able to use it and saved myself $60 a month. Then I noticed that I had insurance on my cell phones which I don’t need anymore and saved myself another $60 a month.
