I've done facials but it lasted maybe 24hrs...

Salicylic acid is AHA, and it only cleans the surface. Get something that has AHA combined with BHA, which penetrate the skin barrier and cleans inside your pores.

Salicylic acid is a BHA and glycolic acid is an AHA.
Op, Paula’s choice has an excellent 4% salicylic acid and an 8% glycolic acid which are great products.

A facial is just a cleanse done by someone else.
