This is our youngest child and the first one to need various therapists. We always just gave through the school to the teachers so this is a whole new world for us.
What is standard to give to an OT who pulls our child out of class twice a week to work in a group setting? She is paid by the district.
Do we need to tip a kriah teacher we hired privately? He also pulls our child out of class twice a week, but we pay him directly and it's a big expense already.
TIA!

15-20 for the ot therapist. If I'm super happy with her and have a strong connection I would personally give 25
I wouldn't tip a personal kriah teacher

I give 20 in a nice handwritten thank you card
I've never had to pay for private therapy but if I did I wouldn't tip. In general I only tip people who I don't pay cash to directly

I always gave EI therapists. For the non Jewish ones I would just write happy holidays instead of freilichin chanukah

Do you send it in your child's backpack? My child is in first grade and rather absent-minded. I'm a little worried if I do that then the recipients won't actually receive their gifts.

I put it in the backpack and text the therapist that there is a gift in the backpack for them. A bit awkward but better than it getting lost
