DD 14 mo has been fussy for the past few days and last night was up crying every two hours. She had a fever Wed night but then it went away and now just a runny nose. However, I strongly suspect that it's teething since a huge front molar came out on the bottom on one side and another is breaking through on the other side. I've heard those can be intense.
1. Should I give pain meds and is that OK on the off chance it's not teething? I gave less than the recommended dose on Fri night and she was a completely different child.
2. What else can it be? No time to take her to the doc since we're leaving town tomorrow morning. Waiting for the nurses to get back to me.

Yes, totally fine. DD is getting her incisors and has a fever and loose diaper. A little pain/fever meds make her so much happier.

She had a loose diaper yesterday. Totally forgot about that!

Loose diaper is another sign of teething

Yes of course you should give it.
Give the appropriate dose.
Why leave her in pain? Obviously it's bothering her enough that she can't sleep.
