I have a son with moderate special needs who is approved for opwdd services. We are looking to move now do to our tiny apartment not being appropriate for our family bh, as well as not a healthy situation for him. The problem is that in NY the housing in unaffordable, but in NJ we are told we won't be eligible for services for him.
I feel so stuck . What is the solution? Any advice?
We are open to buying or renting up to 4k

OPWDD is the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities in New York. It is just in NY.
Services in other places vary by state but no other state compares.

Opwdd is only in NY, but any part of NY is eligible. From BP to Rochester
