Hi any info on chemdas? Is it academic and yeshivish? Who is the principal? Does it have girls from all over? What type of girl?

It’s pretty academic and on the yeshivish side. It is a popular seminary, and hard to get into without pull or coming from a name brand family- ie: yichus or money, or well known, respected in the community type. Making a broad generalization, it is a seminary where the girls are more into name brands too .( Obviously not every girl.)

Thank you!!! Are the girls from all over or mostly in town? We don’t have yichus pull or money. Should we bother applying? Who’s the principal?

I think the principal's name is Tirtza Reichmann.
The girls seem to be very happy there.
Many girls are financially comfortable, some are from more yeshivish backgrounds
Not out of towny, but not overly intense academic/social environment.
I don't think seminary acceptances factor in money, yichus...as much as they likely do factor if you are going to pay in full...
Strong grades and a good reputation in school are much more important

We are about to apply. My daughter is a solid good heimish girl. We are from Europe. I'm hoping to get a scholarship from them. Heard good things. Her other choice is seminar.
I heard its average academically. Less than neimas, tehilas and I think nachlas

. They try not to take too many from any one in town school, I think. I think it is a mix, but it is a more in-town vibe. They treat the girls very well, really take care of them. The principal’s name is slipping my mind, she is sisters with Mrs Faigy Lowy from Masores.
