Quote: | I would love to open a sep maaser account. But my bank charges monthly fees on each account -including savings accounts. That mean I'd need to pay an extra small monthly fee, and makesure I'm depositing that on top of maaser each month. What do u all do? Any way around this? |
We have a Capital One online account, no fees.
I have an automatic transfer each month set up to put the maaser in from our regular checking account. And we have a debit card linked to that account so I can easily make donations

Can you explain in more detail what you mean by "Every few weeks I will transfer for money withdrawn from HSA, FSA, or other adjustments."?
I am having a very hard time figuring out maaser because of confusion about post-tax and other things like HSAs...

As soon as I get paid I take 10% out and pull the cash out. Put in an envelope and my husband gives it to his brother in kollel who needs the money. Rly not complicated

Why would this get a hug? That sounds like a fine system

Dunno. Our rav told us to give specifically to this brother. His wife is struggling with severe PPD and doesn’t work so I know the money is used for food, clothing for the kids, or therapy for the wife.
