I love mine. But my sinks are underhung, so its easy to use, easy to clean.
As for the panels at the bottom of the wall - it's so you can wash the floor without damaging the wall/cupboards

Those of you who don't spill, how lovely for you. I detest flat sink surrounds with no lip. I had such a sink. My shirts were always getting wet.
I had a lip installed. Problem solved.
I don't mind cleaning the fissure. An old toothbrush does the trick.

It means that the sinks are attached to the counter from under them.
They are not resting on the counter.
