Here’s my story…and you can raise your hand if you know me because I’ve shared this story with too many people

I was in Aim Byisroel kimpeturin place in New Square just a few days postpartum. One morning right before breakfast the nurse came to tell me that she’s a bit concerned because my baby seems to be very yellow and she suggests I go “upstairs” to take her bilirubin. This was my first time there and I wasn’t quite sure what “upstairs” means. I thought probably going to the second floor just like the earring lady does….
So the nurse tells me to go eat breakfast and when I’m done I should let her know. Since I was a bit concerned myself I didn’t rush to get dressed, I wanted to take care of this first. So I’m in a nightgown, socks, fuzzy slippers and a turban on my head..(this was 20 years ago) I go to look for the nurse and to let her know that I’m ready and she leads me to a side elevator and I’m wondering why we can’t use the regular elevator. We go inside, she tells me to call her when I’m done, and about 15 seconds later the door opens and I find myself in the waiting room of refuah health center.

No way! With fuzzy slippers and all!! Kimpeturin didn’t cry??
I once cried buckets in front of Refua because I didn’t have any cash on me. And the taxi waiting only accepted cash!

Thank gd I shave! I Never ever walk around without head covering! Otherwise It would probably happen to me as well. But I do have a mirror at my main door. Also, I recently started wearing shell slips. Even though I said no, not me, I can’t do this. Best thing ever. I walk out of my bathroom with slip and then pick a top to wear. Helps with nursing situations as well. You’re always covered. Just saying!

Things can go wrong with that too....
Walking out without a skirt or top. Covered, yet not as appropriate as u normally would

Friends husband walked to shul with a bra hanging from his Tallis. People stared the entire way. When he came home he was shocked to find his wife weeping in bed. She’s at her in laws, and couldn’t get dressed with no bra in sight!

OMG I'm crying!! From this, and from the whole thread! Thanks OP!

Omigosh these stories are beyond.

I was in 11th grade when those Junee black wrap skirts were in. I went to Israel with my family and we were standing in the Mir plaza when my skirt flew wide open from the wind 😳

one of my friends once opened the bathroom door in her Mother in laws house to find her married brother in law sitting on the toilet....
He is very short so his feet didn't reach the floor...
but instead of slamming the door shut she was so shocked she stood there frozen and staring and then just started screaming AAAAAAAAHHHHH
Finally she slammed the door shut ...poor guy!!!

This thread is the reason why I love I’m a mother! OP thanks for sharing your story and putting a smile on all our faces!

Okay so I have two embarrassing stories to share..

I was in 6th grade when my friend neighbor came to play a board game with my siblings and I. I got up to get something and one of my sisters pulled my skirt to make me sit. Little did I know, she pulled down my skirt and along came my underwear and everyone saw my pubic hair down there.. modified, I picked up my stuff and ran to my room.. never played with my friend again.

This happened recently and please don’t judge! And a little tmi so beware… My hubby and I and little baby were on the way back from a mall which was about 45 min away from our house. I must have eaten something bad, because mid way my stomach was going crazy!! I felt like I was having strong contractions which I then realized was a number 2 pushing its way out. Now I’m sitting in the back seat next to my baby. I tell my hubby that I need the bathroom asap.. ain’t no bathroom in sight. I try to hold it together. But nooooo… my stomach has the biggest urge to release.. and so it did.. in the car.. in myself.. I quickly open the windows to air out.. we finally get home and I get out the car holding up my skirt and panti and there’s my neighbor who’s a male behind me.. I quickly run inside and take a shower.. never again. I am completely embarrassed. Let’s just say that I took a very long shower to recover from this incident.. when I got out my hubby joked that when we travel I should wear a diaper.. now we joke about it.. but I think this was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me.. top this?

many of us don't shave and don't walk around without a headcovering. It's not either/or lol.

Just remember this, guess tried hard to forget it. Last year for shabbos chanuka we went to my sister in law's house for shabbos. I went upstairs to nurse the baby. As I'm sitting on the bed with my big b00bs completely exposed nursing my baby the door opens and my bil walks in Can't Believe It oh man it took me a while to compose myself and go down stairs. I told my husband right away what had happened. It was very uncomfortable at first making conversation as if nothing had happened

The master of the house entered the room? Speechless
Come to think of it, we need to create door signs (like the ones in hotels with "please don't disturb/clean up this room") Warning! Nursing in progress. Do NOT enter.

He's not a poor guy. By now we hope he has learned to lock the bathroom door.
