I did the same as amother Peru! I also bought a coat rack.

Dont live without closets! Make your own!
(I admit I never had a good place for the vacuum. It lived in a corner of my kids room.

Hi! I'm back to update you all on today's frame of mind. As much as I didn't want to hear ideas last night, some of it obviously seeped in and I already implemented one small change and created a decent place for the vacuum cleaner!!! I'm so excited by this upgrade!

You have a sectional laundry hamper? My dream!!! I have a collapsible laundry basket in the bathroom that gets taken out and put in to the tub each time someone showers or bathes.

I thought so too when we moved in here. Finally a place for Pesach stuff, clothes kids outgrew, bathing suits, Purim costumes, shaimos, baby gear when not in use. It is amazing to have that space which we didn't have previously!!! But it doesn't help me find a space to store my mop. I even considered putting suitcases there but we use them quite often and hauling heavy stuff up and down the pull-down attic steps is not something I can do. To be dependent on Dh in order to pack is something I rather avoid.

I have an idea that nobody has mentioned, it’s a bit out of the box but has helped us tremendously.
A floating shelf on top of every door. A simple floating shelf from ikea with a bin can be so so helpful. For example if you really use your iron only for perler beads then there’s no reason it should take up good real estate behind an easily accessible door. Put it in a bin above the door and it’s there whenever you need it.

No, not an entire wall. Both beds are currently under windows so I'd gain the wall space under the window. Still better than nothing but not the magic solution I'm looking for.

I did away with the coat closet. It became storage for that stuff. Hooks went on the wall for in use jackets & the rest are in the owners clothing on their rooms. Also put a stick vacuum on the wall near the kitchen. Bath towels got hooks in the bathroom. Tablecloths with the kitchen towel and bibs stock.

Yeah that's where it's at around here too. The coat closet is the everything including the coats closet.

Cool cart! Where would it go??? In our tiny bathroom in the three inches between the sink and the toilet? That doesn't leave space for anyone over the age of three to actually sit on the toilet seat.

If I'd have space for a standalone bathroom cabinet, it would be there already!!!
