My young teen has moderate severe hearing loss and has worn hearing aids for several years. She just started at a new school and is really struggling. Socially and scholastically. I'm wondering if there is resources or support or some way to connect to other teens going through similar.

Are you on a group for moms? I know there is one in Lakewood but I'm not on it, never got around to it. Maybe someone there has a child who can connect with yours

I think for the most part they are. She uses an fm device so they all know but I think some teachers forget that she needs the extra direction. I need to be more on top of them.

What kind of group? I don't live in Lakewood

Not sure were you live but I'm on a group with parents going through similar and we have events sometimes also for the kids
