Hi my 5 yr old is on the shorter side. my pediatrician reccomended I give her calcium vitamin. anyone ever heard of this? are there any side effects to it?

Calcium is a mineral not a vitamin.
I use supplements a lot, I've never heard of Calcium for short stature. I'm wary of Calcium supplementation in general.
