Do you fill out the application or your daughter?
Does it matter if one had a neater handwriting?
Will handwriting affect acceptance?

She should do it herself. We make copies of the applications first and she fills out a rough draft and then we go through it together to correct any spelling, grammar or other mistakes. After she knows exactly what she wants to write, she takes her time filling out the final application slowly and with her best handwriting possible.

You should most definitely NOT fill out the application. She should.

The applicant. If you are the person who wants to attend, you do it. If your dd is the aspiring seminarian, she does it. Anything else is dishonest.

Unless there's terrible writing it should not matter

If your daughter has terrible handwriting I don’t think it’s dishonest to have her write the content and you transcribe it in your nicer handwriting, if that’s what you’re asking

OK, so mixed reviews.. Thank you.
For sure I am not considering making up the answers to the long questions!! . What I would do is fill out the "dry" information only.. Chas vshalom no lying or deceit here. If there was an option to type we'd do that!!
Maybe we'll ask someone in her school what they suggest.
Thank you all for your input

Depends on your child's personality and your dynamic. We worked on the answers together but my daughter filled it out

Most people with terrible handwriting are capable of writing more neatly if they slow down.
Another alternative could be to scan the form and then complete it by typing into a pdf.

Cmon. Its not dishonest to have someone else write it out.
If dd handwriting terrible I would get someone else.
That being said you dont need to make it obvious. Adult handwriting usually different than teens so you filling out is probably not a great idea.
Re the answers themselves. OF COURSE go through and wordsmith for her, edit for clarity, make sure shes emphasizing the most influential things.
In my dds high school they write their personal statement as a writing assignment and the school helps them tighten up. I still edited more.
