It also depends on what movie you’re watching. G (if any movies are rated that anymore) are very different from R which are very different from XX. |

I don’t remember the last time I was at an actual movie theater. I didn’t even think they would still be open.
You also don’t know where people are holding. Don’t be so judgey. No one is perfect.

And just for the record, I think it’s wrong to sneak food in. Isn’t there intermission? Go to your car and eat. Or just don’t eat for three or four hours.

Edited to add they have whole milk in the ingredients, it could be that water girl holds dry milk is ok not CY but I don’t know about the milk chocolate. |
Thank you for checking. Not talking about this item, but many other items say on their app and their database that it is dairy with no mention of dairy equipment. But if you ask them they will tell you if the item is dairy equpment or not. The app and their online database is usually not accurate regarding dairy equipment status.

Most movies don't have an intermission.

That's not true. It's specifically theaters and stadiums that are mentioned as chukas hagoyim. It's not hypothetical; you're just making up prohibitions.

I’m sorry you’re being a little bit much with the Judging.
What works for you is great but just because someone does something else doesn’t mean they’re less

I just can’t believe that someone can even ask such a question. It’s beyond a chillul HaShem in so many ways. And ppl here even give ideas how to sneak it in is just not okay. Have ppl really sunk so low? Come on, what are you trying to prove? You can go without food for a few hours. If you can’t, don’t go. It’s as easy as that

This isn’t dairy equipment. It’s mamish milchigs.
The OU app is pretty up to date and it says to check back frequently to make sure nothing has changed. And many times it does change. And the OU will tell you just cuz you’re asking now doesn’t mean it won’t have a different status tomorrow. There are so many reasons why something would be milchig or DE.

Lol no there is no intermission at the theater. And movies aren’t 3-4 hours long, they’re 1.5-3 hours long.
Eating is for the vibe, not because you’re hungry. And theaters upcharge the food they sell a lot so people like bringing normally priced food in instead of paying $10 for popcorn.

I guess it’s obvious I don’t go to movie theaters.
Which is a good thing, I don’t want to have to explain to my kids or friends or whoever I go with how it’s ok to break rules for things that are too expensive in my eyes. Is sneaking in food the first step to shoplifting? Or is this ok since “everyone does it”? Is this like buying a dress and leaving the tags on and returning after the dinner? If you have a real medical need, talk to the manager. But sneaking food in is (to me) plain old wrong.

Wow thank you!
No I don’t go to movies theatres.
The only relevant part of this thread to me was the information on junior mints
I used to love those back before I kept CY
Keeping CY OOT has been great for my diet…
Now how to get my hands on some junior mints at 8 o clock at night with multiple sleeping kids in the house…

Pretty sure it's not illegal at all to bring food into a theater 😇 I used to do it all the time and nobody ever cared or said a word. We just think it's not allowed cuz they sell
