What does everyone prefer? I went to go check out both in the store and they both seemed like great options. Personally, I liked the kangaroo more because the donkey as a single stroller had this weird basket on the side. As a double stroller I feel like the donkey could be better, but I’m not sure. I see so many people walking around with a bugaboo donkey. I’m curious what people recommend.

The donkey has been around a long time while the kangaroo is quite new, so most people will have already bought the donkey before the kangeroo existed. The donkey has an amazing push and each child has their own space, you can use it with bassinet, seat or car seat and easily switch. It isn't so practical for the car as it's quite bulky, but then the kangeroo is unlikely to be any better.
I've never actually tried out the kangeroo but it reminds me of most other inline doubles (uppababy vista, city select) which are really long and heavy. They also don't push well as the balance of weight is not evenly distributed. Imagine pushing a bus and also try and turn a bus, that's what it's like. I also always feel sorry for the child at the bottom.
I'm not sure if you're actually looking for a double or you just want to buy a stroller that can be used as a double at another time. And whether there's a reason you're only looking at bugaboo.

I have a donkey and I love it though as mentioned above it’s not a car friendly stroller. I think it’s way easier to push than a double inline (like the kangaroo). I love how versatile the seating is and the side basket in single mode is awesome!!
