Oh wow that sounds amazing!! OP I’m sure everyone would appreciate a cooking lesson.
Amother Lightblue - did you get to eat the food after or did you order from the restaurant?
I’ve been wanting to do something like this for ages but more like couples. (I work remote in a small office so wouldn’t work for me)

They served an entire meal after and they packed up the food we prepared so we could take it home.

Malky weingarten comes down to your location. She did a game and some fun activity.
We also have done painting a picture and virtual reality, which was so adorable.
One year we did an escape the room before the chanuka party.

Are you looking for a game or an activity?
Does everyone know each other or are there people from different teams or working different hours?

My office did a game show in a restaurant. You need to come up with the questions and multiple choice answers. It’s a TON of fun! The more creative the questions are the more fun it is.

A lot of the "minute to win it" games are fine to play at a restaurant. A couple we are planning to play at our holiday party include;
Give out and paper clip a $10 bill on everyone's sleeves at beginning of meal. Pick a word that is not allowed. In our case we don't want people to say "work." anyone who is caught saying the word can their $10 stolen. Everyone gets to keep whatever $ they have at end of meal.
As an "ice breaker" tell everyone to come to the party with 2 truths and 1 lie to share. See who can stump the rest of the employees as they guess what is the lie. Good way to find out new things about people you work with everyday.
Make enough index cards with different "sounds on them," for example drill or rooster and play a game similar to charades where someone needs to get everyone to guess what they are using no hands or words just sounds.
See who can stack the most pennies using chopsticks
Hold an ice cream stick in your mouth and see who can stack the most dice without them falling.
Things like that...
