Where can I buy a warm winter coat- today?
It’s cold outside and he doesn’t have a coat.
He’s 12 and cares about style.
I think he does not want something bulky because that’s his complaint about the coat I ordered online (plus that coat isn’t warm at all).
I think he might like a bomber style coat but so far whatever I found was more like a jacket than a coat.
I would spend up to $150.
Please tell me where to go.

alot of kids stores have a collection of coats probably including that size. I think whimsy and juvenile planet have alot of coats. Also probably shoppers paradise. Some kids wear those very thick T.O. Sweatshirt hoodies that are heavier. Not great in 30 degrees, but probably 40 degrees and up he can be ok in it.

This is your best advice. Choosing in real life is your best chance at getting something he wants to wear. I don’t know if you have time for this. If you can manage it, just giving him the time will mean a lot even if you have to shlep other kids along and serve pizza that night. Can you make it an outing? Tonight we’re taking Zev for a coat and going for pizza afterwards. Extra fries for whoever makes the least noise and mess at the coat store. Unfortunately I don’t live near you so I have no idea where you can go. Hopefully others will have good suggestions.

Yes, I’m taking him out of school early to shop for a coat and I plan on buying pizza 😊

Dh took my boys to his place on Clifton to choose coats this year. They are super warm, bomber style I guess but with a warm hood.
Shoppers paradise and juvenile planet also sell coats for these sizes

Just a piece of advice.
He's 12.
Some boys decide AT 13 that they're doing wool jackets and refuse to wear their puffer or bomber jacket or whatever. (I had one of those). If he's that type, you may want to take him somewhere cheaper like the mall or Burlington since he's only going to get a year out of it.
He may be willing to agree to wear this coat after his bar mitzvah. Talk to him. But if he agrees to wear it next year also, make sure it's roomy enough for him to wear his jacket also.

I know… he will probably want to wear a short woolen coat next year. That’s why I tried ordering a few things online so I could spend less but nothing worked and I’m desperate now.
I would love to spend less but it has to be warm and he has to be happy.

That looks like something he might like. I don’t like the price though…
I guess I don’t have much of a choice now.

I think he might be willing to wear a coat if it’s cool.
I can’t imagine wearing a sweatshirt and feeling warm when it’s 20 degrees.
