Would not recommend highland park/edison (I live there). As lovely and mixed a community as it is, I think you’d be better off in Teaneck.

Teaneck is your best option- least judgmental, and you will find a mix of people in the schools. If you need Long Island, I would go with West Hempstead over 5T. HALB was suggested above- it’s a school where there may be a a few black hats and there are mothers that wear pants, but not the same family. I think Noam, maybe YNJ are better choices.

RJJ in Ststen island is perfect for us they have kids from bother extremes never saw a school so mixed as this one here
