Depending on your insurance, there is sometimes a provision for care in a state that borders yours. You need to ask and find out- if so, you would need a letter of why going there is a medical need. Of you have used them before and it was your regular place, that's called continuity of care and makes it easier. If this is an OB thing, not sure if having all previous babies there counts, but it might if you've bewn seeing the same OB and that's where they deliver.
If this is something big that could be life threatening or is very severe, Chai Lifeline has helped people get coverage.
Otherwise, you may be up a creek. It's pretty rotten that you can't buy out of state coverage even if you have the money.

Typically you cannot, NY marketplace insurance will not cover any out of state care barring an emergency

You need a commercial policy that covers both states.
Can get through a private insurance broker

To my knowledge, there is no non-employer plan that covers out of state. There used to be one, and it was very expensive. Then they changed their rules recently and no more. But it's possible things have changed again since I checked.

United Refuah Healthshare. They cover doctors/hospitals anywhere. The only issue with this insurance is if you're already pregnant. They consider pregnancy a pre existing condition that isn't covered.

This has been discussed here before, but this is NOT health insurance.

I havent been active until recently and haven't seen anything about it. But in this case, the OP has NY insurance. It may be helpful for her to have as a secondary just to cover the hospital stay in NJ.

They won't cover the hospital stay. Its a preexisting condition even if she has insurance
She can to hospital through ER and then she'll be covered on any plan
