Debbie Macomber is great for clean romantic light fiction.
Nora Roberts is one of the best for fiction, but her books do have s-x scenes. Also Sarah Morgan and Susan Mallery.
I enjoy the small town series where you get a different set of characters, but it's set in the same town and you meet previous and future characters of other books. Such as Mariah Stewart's chesepeake series, Sherryl Woods Chesapeake Shores series (tv series based on books but books so much better)
There's some english authors that I enjoy for chicklit type reading.
Milly Johnson (the yorkshire pudding club is the first book I read and perfect during pregnancy)
Jill Mansell
Katie Fforde
Rowan Coleman is also great. Her 'Memory Book' was similar to 'what alice forgot'.
Sometimes I will put into google books similar to ... and it will bring up a list of similar authors or books.

I love books by Alice Hoffman, Louise Erdrich, Elizabeth Gilbert. They sometimes have inappropriate scenes but nothing too graphic and easy to skip over if you want.
some to start: The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman, Love Medicine by Louise Erdrich, The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert
Also: My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante, Watership Down by Richard Adams, Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (graphic novel), Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga

I can't believe I forgot about Sarah Adams! She is absolutely adorable. I am obsessed with the cheat sheet. It's so cute and I love that she has like a couple of books that are this like the same characters like she has one with characters and then she spins off and does their siblings and stuff. It's really cute and she specifically said that she prefers to write closed door romance books which is awesome

Ohh OP Harry Potter and Sophie Kinsella are my favorites of all time! Here’s some books you might like since it seems we share the same taste 😉
One Day in December felt like I was watching a Hallmark movie as I was reading. It was soo sweet and light and heartwarming I loved it. One of my favorites.
If you didn’t read it yet, the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn is amazing. It’s a historical romance and she writes in a witty way. Anything by her is great, but start with the Bridgerton (first book is called the Duke and I) each book is a different sibling so you get to really know the characters. I reread those books like I reread Harry Potter.
Oh! I just thought of something perfect for you!! I read it years ago but I absolutely loved it: Undead and Unwed. It’s a series of books. Reminds me of Sophie Kinsella but with a fantasy aspect as well (imagine Becky Bloomwood as a vampire lol.)
I saw people wrote Nicholas Sparks, everyone has their own tastes obviously, I don’t like to read his books because every single one has a sad ending. But he is a good writer.
Kristin Hannah is an amazing author. Her books really suck you in. I just read Magic Hour by her, it was unbelievable. So so good.
Another book I loved, but it wasn’t light, is The Rose Code. It’s about the British girls who broke the German’s secret codes during World War 2. It’s an amazing book, really long, and sucks you into that world. But not a light beach read at all.
The Help is another great book but not a light read.
Seconding the suggestion for What Alice Forgot. I loved that book, and really gives you good perspective for your marriage.

The invisible life of Addie larue - sad but good
I'm going to disagree with the entire Imamother and say I couldn't stand What Alice Forgot. I found it very boring.
More intense fantasy -

A song of ice and fire (not clean but very good and very long so it'll last awhile)

Another vote for Lisa Jewell, I recently read None of this is true which was so good, the others are also good.
If you like crime novels I like the strike series by Robert Galbraith who is actually JK Rowling.

If you enjoy Alice Hoffman, I HIGHLY recommend Practical Magic. I've read all her books and this is wonderful.
