We are considering making Aliyah in the next couple of years but my husband the only child taking care of a parent with Parkinson’s disease. We have older kids so we would probably be moving to RBS.
Right now, he is pretty independent (lives alone) but he is definitely a major fall risk and we don’t know what kind of care he will need in a couple of years.
Is there a skilled nursing facility in RBS that is good? Does the government pay for in home aides if he rents an apartment near us?

These are questions you should ask nefesh bnefesh.
I think if the individual with parkinsons makes aliyah, he would get some hrlp. But best to ask nbn. They have all the info really.

In NY, the government sometimes pays for exactly this.
It's cheaper for the taxpayer than living at the hospital.

I know it is complicated.
My advice is to contact Chaim V'Chessed to find out what he would be entitled to and how it will work, l'maaseh.
