If you are a Morah, what are the best gifts you have received? I am trying to plan for chanuka gifts. Morahs really outdid themselves this year.
3 morahs who are mommys of families
One Morah who’s a post seminary girl
Any suggestions? I know cash is nice but there’s no thought or personal touch there

The personal touch can be in the note you include 😉

Cash is definitely a winner by me. If I combine all the money people spent on "thoughtfull gifts" that's are useless to me, I would rather cash Very Happy

One chanuka a mother sent me a big syringe and 3 containers of donut fillings from a bake shop, like dulce deluche, nougat and cappuccino cream, we had such a nice time making our own donuts that night after lightning.
I appreciate all of them even chocolate or nice hand cream and a note, I prefer not random items for the house which are useless and embarrassing to regift.

What's your budget?
A box of donuts for my kids.
A fresh sour dough bread with 3 dips(that was super delicious and appreciated but expensive!)
Fancy salad bowl that I use every shabbos (but some of them I've returned over the years so it's hit or miss)
The latest book in Judaica store(can be exchanged)
Cookbook
A kid's book for playgroup(cheaper and nice too!)

Or I usually save the cash in an envelope and wait until I have enough money to buy a sheitel! Very Happy it does take a few years!

Really any gift big or small is appreciated, it's really the thought that counts! Write a nice card to go along!!

My favorite gifts have been mugs with kids faces on them!!

Cash is also appreciated.

But for me the most important part is the note! I hang up all the notes so o can remember my kiddos and the wonderful time we spend together.

As a teacher I always preferred cash.
But there have been some nice things over the years.
Actually for my own kids teachers I usually buy Chanuka time a pair of gloves and a thermos.
I feel like both those things ppl could always use another one and it’s good for this time of year….
