I have no idea what it’s from. I almost want to believe it happened in the wash cuz it’s on both my kids dresses and my older daughter who’s 10 generally stays clean. After I washed and hung it to dry it I noticed big dark spots all over. My next step was to spray it well with oxi spray and soak the dresses in hot water and oxi powder overnight. I rewashed and they are still there. These are Shabbos dresses that I got from my aunt I believe they are expensive dresses.. I’m so perplexed. Any ideas how to get it out?

Rub dawn dish soap on it. I just had it and it worked.

I've had success with oven degreaser spray. Spray generously and let sit an hour. Then wash.
I've used it on synthetic tablecloths as well as linen and cotton.

Dish soap always works for me on grease stains. Worst case I apply twice but that's almost never. Use a good one like dawn or Palmolive

I've used "elbow grease" spray, it's a degreaser that is safe for fabric but I doubt they sell that in the US

Did they use bubbles recently?

It can also be that the washing machine needs to be cleaned.

Was about to say this and then I saw you posted Smile
Bubbles are the worst. My son just ruined another shirt. He was playing with bubbles in kindergarten and by the time he came home his shirt was dry so I couldn’t see the stains. The bubble mixture makes some kind of chemical reaction in the washing machine with the detergent and makes permanent stains Sad
