I have a few kids sick with colds and my little newborn seems to have caught it. She is coughing very mucusy sounding and I need to keep suctioning her nose so she can feed. What can the Dr do now? Does it pay to go in and expose her to more germs? I had a c and really can't go out yet. She doesn't have fever

Take her in. RSV can be serious in a baby so little. Speaking as someone who was hospitalized twice with winter sickness in a newborn. My DD had Covid and the flu before she was 60 days old.

She's a fresh newborn, a cough should be checked out right away. Maybe take her to urgent care, or if you know an emt or hatzolah member, maybe ask them if they can come check out her breathing.
