From what I heard it will be a Bais yaakov type of camp. I heard a lot of previous malka girls are going. Maybe call them for information.

My neighbor called the director. She went to Camp Bnos for years, and says she wants a crowd like that, but without the brand names. Great BY girls, with a healthy diversity from in and out of town. Lots of Malka girls applied, but she isn't taking all of them. Seems like they are carefully picking who they want.

My friend worked in Machaneinu this past summer. She said it's not for yeshivish girls.- they got a lot of girls from Lehava (that closed down). I think Camp Tal is getting a more BY/yeshivish crowd.

Interesting… I heard they had a couple of amazing staff from lehava and therefore had very good insight on which girls to take and which not to and I know they only took a very select few. But I do agree that Tal is probably more “Lakewood Yeshivish” and Machaneinu probably more “Bais Yakov”. Also Machaneinu is only July and Tal is both months.

Yah that should be fine sounds like a similar mix. Is she going for the glamping?

I heard they got a variety from Lakewood (BY, Shiras Devora, Machon, Bais Shaindel, Aderes, etc. ) and lots from Out-of- Town, like Baltimore, Detroit, Miami, Toronto, Cleveland, Monsey, Brooklyn, Montreal, Passaic, . Someone said it's like Maarava on the East Coast! B.Y girls, some yeshivish, some heimish, a really nice mixture.

I'm sending my daughter iyh. My daughter joined her last minute camp last summer and had a wonderful time and we only have good things to say about our experience bh! My older daughter had gone to malka and we would've sent there if not for our experience last summer. We are a simple heimish family and daughter attends a BY school.

So the crowd that sends to Malka is definitely more yeshivish than chaviva/Ohr Chedva crowd...
So will it be a mix of types? Or closer to camp Malka clientele?

There's a mix in those camps. I would say it's more good solid bais yakov girls from torahdig families that can still go to those camps maybe yeshivish leaning but not intensely yeshivish. They told me it's like camp bais yakov or maarava. They did a lot of research on girls coming from more mixed crowd schools also. They did not accept every girl that applied. This is what they told me when I called

Camp Bais Yaakov in my opinion is nowhere on the same line as Chaviva/Ohr Chedva. You don’t find Yeshivesh girls in those camps they might be good solid BY girls but not yeshivesh. The dress is also different. So I’m still confused as what type it will be. Hearing very different answers.

They said it's not intensely yeshivish but more like camp bais yakov. They considered it middle of the road
