On Fresh Express leafy greens, what do the Mashgichim do differently on the packages that have the yellow Hechsher sticker?
I reached out to Fresh Express, and theyre not answering.
Id like to know if the Mashgichim do more than checking one box out of a hundred, and if they dont find insects in one box. they assume the other 99 are good, which a Rov said many large companies do.
I doubt Mashgichim check each package. They probably get the packages already sealed and rely on Heterim to check one of many.
UPDATE:
I emailed CRC yesterday with a pic of the box and sticker, and this was their response:

Hi! This hechsher is not recommended. Like any other similar produce without a hechsher, you can get this, but you have to check it from scratch.

Your clip only talks about "Star K" checked Fresh Express products. Theyre world renowned.
The Fresh Express Mix I bought in BP, with the yellow sticker has no Star K certification.
It says "Bais Din Tzedek Tal Torah Yoka". I dont see any mention of this Hechsher or a contact number.
I called Fresh Express, they dont have the information of who this Hechsher is.
Fresh Express said to call the store.
I called the store, the worker said he will try to find out who is behind this Hechsher. A few hours later the man I spoke to in the store said he asked on a commercial Kashrus/or Kosher food blog or something like that, and no one was sure who it is.

Im not sure about that.
I heard a Rov say that commercial places that sell boatloads of leafy greens, take one of a hundred boxes of a huge shipment and check the produce of one box of a shipment.
If there are no insects, the other 99 or so, packages, that werent checked, are considered Kosher, because its in the same shipment as the insect free pack.
Im not sure what the proportions are.
So the boxes with the stickers may very well be one of the 99 that werent checked (again not sure what proportions they use0.
Ive heard some respectable Hechsherim definitely dont check every box.
IT WOULD BE COST PROHIBITIVE and make the veg not affordable.

I’d be wary especially since it’s organic and organic is known to be full of bugs. Call the crc and see if they know about the hechsher.

Exactly what I posted on the other thread about checking bugs.
If this has a hechsher then why in my own kitchen do I need to inspect every leaf under a light.

Dh is in kashrus. They don't check one box. They check a certain percentage. Not sure what the percentage is.

It’s hard to read the whole label but the outer words I think say “b’chazakas aynim m’tolaim” which if I’m reading right is “free of bugs by chazaka.” Chazaka checking is taking 3 random samples of a lot and checking, and then if those are clear, the rest is presumed clean. So I would assume that’s how they’re doing it.

If you're looking for a company that checks every single leaf, try Positive.

I was told Positiv has a good Hashgacha, but afaik Positiv doesnt sell FRESH leafy greens like spinach, mixed greens, etc. Theyre big on frozen veg and maybe plain lettuce?

I don't know all their products, but the idea is, they only sell items that can be reasonably checked.

Well I’m assuming different hechsherim have a certain competitive component, and that’s why they might not recommend?

Broccoli and cauliflower (what they sell) are among the hardest to check. I'm pretty sure they sell greenhouse grown. Fresh leafy greens are ridiculously easy to check with a thrip cloth.
