We are making a simcha this coming summer. Looking for ideas on what might be in-style before pesach comes around.
I'm hoping to make the dresses for myself, daughters will be 10 (wearing size 12/14 now), 5 (wearing 6/7 now) and 3 (wearing 2t currently). I consider myself a medium -sewist. I have done fancy dresses before.
My son has requested the colors "Black and Gold"--and while I'm not looking to "match" but I know "white/ivory" looks really bad on me.
Looking for all suggestions of fabrics and styles.

Black and gold for Summer? I’d go more lace or floral, but that’s just me.

I guess his suit would be black, tie would be gold. So I'm trying to figure out what colors compliment

I am having a simch in the summer and I am considering light blue, mint, floral… Maybe emerald green for the female part…
pastels or bright colors basically.

Pale gold or cream? But they don’t look on you
Burgundy is in but also such a wintery color.
Forest green?
