I have seen this so much lately on social media.
Influencers will say or do something crazy or new and then will tell all their followers that if they had a strong reaction or opposition to what was posted or done its says more about the follower then the influencer.
Basically implying that if you think any different then me you are the crazy or unreasonable one.
Makes me check my sanity every time.
I have seen this with so many influencers from the most level headed to crazy...

Please completely ignore them. What's happening is very simple. The more activity they get on their posts, the greater their financial value in terms of ads or branding.
Just assume that they're deliberately saying something provocative and then insulting you for your reaction, because that will get you to want to comment on how absurd that is. Then they get to market themselves as getting millions of reactions so that sponsors pay them even more. From their perspective, you're nothing but an object that can increase their income. Block them or scroll on past.

Influencers live in their own fantasy world. In real life they are not respected. I guess this is their way of inflating their ego.
