My daughter isn’t academic but she’s a sweet nice girl. She doesn’t do well in school academically. She is currently in 11th grade. Will she have a big problem getting into seminary in israel? She wants to be able to go to one with good nice girls.. do seminaries exist for non academic girls who are still good girls and want to grow?

Sure. There are plenty of good solid seminaries that care more about a good girl than the numbers on her report card.
I’m not sure what crowd your daughter is in so can’t recommend what I would be certain you would be happy with
… but off the top of my head , BYA, Seminar, Kesser Chaya are all great options

I thought seminar is academic? She goes to a typical BY high school. Has a filtered smart phone, no social media, no WhatsApp etc.
she just doesn’t try all that hard at school. She probably has a little add but she usually ends up passing each course although failing some tests. She’s in 11th grade now and I’m getting worried hearing how hard it is to get into seminaries

Seminar is not very academic. I know plenty of girls who are there now, as well as girls who were there the past two years . Excellent good middle of the road girls from BY school .
The school has great teachers and great academics - but is not high pressure as far as valuing grades .

Seminary CAN be academic, depending on where one chooses to go. But can I ask you a question? If school is not her thing, why must she go to an additional super costly and not mandatory year?

All seminaries change. If you haven’t been in iton the last three years, things shift. Bnos Chava is not academic

I think every city has a different idea of what each seminary is. Where I live seminar is know to be academic as well as a really top seminary choice.

To grow and experience a year in Israel. Looking for a lot of hashkafa and experiences not just textual academics
