He's 12. Loves figuring out motors and building complicated miniatures.
I already got him almost every detailed mini lego set. It takes him a few hours and done. Next.
He really wants someone to teach him how to make things work.
He isn't interested in music or anything else. I would love to give it to him I just have no idea how to.
He finishes a project every night so it's not like masmidei talent or anything like that will satiate him.
I would love for him to build something real with adult guidance.
I need some fellow mothers to the rescue.
Does anyone have any ideas?

If money is not an issue, there are some pretty complex robotic projects that you can look into. The challenge is not just in building it, but in programming it to complete certain tasks.
You can try a 3d printer, too.
Or he can learn basic electrician projects.

My son loved Knex at that age. Comes with a motor. Built stuff that turned or rode. etc.

I am always on the lookout for buildable toys and get them when they are on sale.
I pay 10-20 dollars each and yes he completes a 600-1000 piece project every night.
He devours it.
But I am out of ideas hence the thread.

Lets say money wouldn't be an issue where would I look?
This sounds like the thing he would love!
Programming a robot!!! It can't get better than this! He is dying to be in Elon Musks circle.

I just signed up for boxes but I already know it won't last long.
He needs to learn how to build on his own. He has so many ideas.

Thanks I never tried it yet.
As I'm responding to all these posts I realize I really want someone to teach him how to build.
Hes so good with his hands. I would pay someone to teach him how to make shelving molding etc. I wish.

Ok. I guess I don’t see the difference between programming at a computer or playing music on a keyboard. They sound very similar…
For me I love programming. I’m a software engineer I do it all day at work and it pulls me at night. I find it highly enjoyable.
