Morah called that my four year old always needs a personal invitation. When she tells the whole class to do something she needs to call my kids name or stand right in front of her and tell her directly to do it. Otherwise she’ll just sit there. I know this could be a hearing problem, what else could it be? This child is very well behaved and keeping up beautifully in class

1. Hearing
2. Lacking Basic social skills of what is expected of her in a group setting
3. Not focused due to sensory or language or anxiety

Asd or adhd. Either way rule out hearing and eyesight issue, and full evaluation

Could be hearing, focusing , easily distracted lots of issues… Best get evaluated to see and how to help in a classroom.

Is child like this at home at all or is typically one on one with you at home…

Is this the first time in a classroom?

If your child listens when her name is called why would it be a hearing problem?

wouldn't jump to ASD or ADHD.
could be a simple auditory processing issue or she's overstimulated.

The teacher had a similar complaint about my child in pre 1a. If your child is keeping up with the class and doesn't have other issues it's ok if the teacher needs to repeat the instructions for your child. My child was a little dreamy. We had her evaluated a couple of times (psychoeducational eval) and she was totally fine.
