Can you quote the halacha that says that a couple may not sleep in the nude.
Can you respond to what I said earlier that there are simanim in shulchan aruch about sleeping and saying shema because the assumption was that the entire family slept in the nude in one room.
If you're going to accuse a poster of not keeping halacha, can you please at least quote the halacha from its source.

Where in halacha does it say that one may not sleep naked?
That's the natural way of sleeping. The way people slept till modern times.
There's nothing to be pained about, as there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with sleeping naked. (Obviously with a closed door.) |
This thread is about hair covering. Just if you missed that.

And you are horrified that some sleep naked....... and that's what I'm responding to.
And there's nothing wrong or against halacha about sleeping with uncovered hair.

We are not Rabbanim and are not the ones knowing or should be interested in sources. Illl leave this for the Rabbanim who spent their entire life for that.
The only thing I know is that playing with our hair covering is like playing with fire! Nothing comical about it!!

People did sleep naked for many many years with multiple generations in same room . We also slept under a covering with our clothing right beside the "bed" . There have always been jewish women who covered their hair even while sleeping ...
Gasp hair can be covered even while sleeping while being intimate naked under a covering with others sleeping in same one room hut. (Partitions separating others)

One CAN sleep with a head covering in all these scenarios.
The question is if it's REQUIRED.
And if a woman doesn't, it's not ok to challenge her that maybe she doesn't eat kosher, and maybe she's not really frum.
Edit to add, that many Rabbanim hold that during intimacy a head covering is NOT ALLOWED because husband and wife need to be totally undressed to become 'basar echad'.

Of course we should know sources for halacha. Especially if we make up halacha.
There is NO halacha that we need to sleep with our hair covered. And just because you are misinformed and claim that it's halacha, doesn't make it halacha.
It's just sad that an adult has such a lack of education in basic halacha.

Ok so let’s go with that. What about not covering her hair when sleeping makes you question if she keeps kosher?
It would be quite comical if I'd cover my hair when we sleep naked each night.
Not that it should matter but we are chassidish (not shave your hair type though)
This was her very first post, to which you responded
If you have nothing with judaism why are you on this forum at all? Do you eat kosher?
Can you please explain yourself?

I feel sad that you were misled. It's actually not that serious, it's just praiseworthy if you do but it's not fire will engulf you if you don't.

Last few halachos? What? We still keep all the torah and halachos, there is nothing disappearing. And having to sleep with hair covering is not a halacha nor was it ever, it's a chumrah at most, a praiseworthy effort more likely. Definitely not a requirement by any standard.

...husband and wife are biyachad (with hashem) even if heads are covered.
...not like tzisis are pajamas. Headcoverings don't get between two people

My Rav holds not.
Yeshivish Lakewood Rav.
Holds that we are NOT ALLOWED to wear a head covering or yarmulke while DTD.

Lemon, you would be well advised to learn very quickly that halachah and chumrah are not the same. What are you going to do if one of your children grows up to be completely frum but not as strict as you are? If you are as judgmental towards them as you are here, you’re going to be facing some very difficult times chas v’shalom.

Calling comical something that so many women are being Moser Nefesh on is the worst thing that can ever be done. Yeas, You can argue respectfully. But calling them comical should be denounced by everyone. No mater your actuel opinion about it.
There was a lot of posters before hers saying they dont wear anything at night non of them prompted me to respond. But! to make a joke out of such a holy and respected thing by so many of us that is what showes that something is wrong with her fundamental respecrt to judaism as a hole. And I stand by that.

Hair is made to be uncovered when we're with our husband.

You didn’t understand. She was saying it would be comical for her since she’s naked. Not that it’s comical anyone else wears one. I think you owe her an apology.
