I recently ordered ordered a high - end designer item from a seller in a group called shop pop designer. I found a deal that seemed too good to be true, and while I'm excited, I'm also feeling a bit unsure if the item is genuinely authentic.
Has anyone here had experience ordering by them? I'd love to hear you're experience or feedback on their authenticity, as I'm not very experienced in spotting real designer items. The item I did received looks good , I'm just trying to ensure I'm not being misled.
Thank you so much for any insights you can share.

Was it second hand? Was it high end like chanel, ysl, Hermes, lv, etc or more like coach, Kate Spade and that ilk?
If the former, and it's not second hand, it's likely a fake. Generally these items can't be found for good prices.
But if you love it and treat it like it's real and feel it's worth it, does it matter?

As a rule, if you think it seems too good to be true, you're right.

What brand it it?
Chanel does not go on sale and is sold exclusively in Chanel stores. Any deals are probably fake.
Louis Vuitton is also sold mainly through their boutiques and doesn’t either go on sale.
YSL, prada etc. Are sold online through department stores and sometimes you can get a good deal online.

I almost made a purchase from ShopPop . It was a YSL bag and price was amazing.
I asked if they could provide any proof of authenticity before I make the purchase - could be a receipt from where they got it from (with whatever info they wanted blocked out) etc
And they said no, they do not provide proof of authenticity , their customers just know to trust them.
So I just couldn’t bring myself to move ahead with the purchase.
Yet I am still on their WhatsApp chat group and keep wondering …

It really depends on the item
You can ask her for a blocked out receipt from the store she purchased it from. No price or personal information, just proof of purchase
If she got it via 3rd party then anything’s possible, since she isn’t authenticating anything and will have no idea if it’s fake or not

I don't wanna announce the name for confidentiality reasons, I did order a bag. It looks gorgeous. I asked the seller , the one who runs the group, for a few reassurance before it got ordered, to make sure it's genuine authentic, and she was so sure about it that it is. However, no other proof was shown, and I don't really know if she was being honest or not, It got purchased, I gave it as a gift to someone , and I'm left wondering and thinking about it a lot, hoping that I wasn't betrayed by it. Wondering if their's still a way for me to know. It's like a loewe type brand etc. I clearly mentioned to her that I'm not into buying fake designer things, so I gotta know for sure, and she said it sure is. It was half price from the original price. My friends do buy fake , and pay cheaper than what I paid for that, but who knows if I overpaid for something fake, or not?! I believe it's the sellers responsibility about her honesty. I appreciate to hear responses from people who are experienced in purchasing the way I did.

There's no way to know but just trusting someone on their word is not the way to authenticate something.
Was it second hand? If it was second hand there's a better chance it was real. If not, you probably were duped.

I don't think was second hand. It came in box with all the labels, and looked brand new! A pity I can't see anything about it anymore as it's off to the person already. But I'm noticing that this situation pops up often to mind. I really am curious to know the truth on this.
