DD got back from seminary in the summer, and would really really want to go back for midwinter break. She would be paying for it, but I still expressed safety concerns, given that the war is still going on both in the south and the north, and there have been many incidents of terror attacks.
Am I being unreasonable? It seems that no one else is concerned except me, and many people are going. I wouldn't stop my kid from going to Yeshiva or seminary, but stam to go and place oneself risk? Yes, I know that Israel is always at one war or another and that we need Shmira wherever we go, but these are not typical times, and I do have concerns.

Both Bnei Brak and Yerushalayim. I know that Yerushalayim is generally safer than most other places, but Bnei Brak has had frequent sirens (requiring going to a Mamad) in recent months.

Yes, generally speaking. But it wasn't the safest place on Oct 7th last year, 101 hostages are not home yet, and young soldiers are dying. These are unfortunately trying times of Hastaras Panim.

If she was here last year, through the beginning of the war, and all the uncertainty that went with it, I think you'll find it very hard to convince her that it's suddenly more dangerous than it was six months ago.
She knows what a siren means, and how to go to a mamad. If anything happens, she's much more prepared to deal with it than she was on Simchat Torah fourteen months ago.

And ftr, if you sin in Eretz Yisroel the land will spit you out and you will not be protected.
Unfortunately many people in the land of Israel are not protected under this blessing.

From a hashkafic perspective, I can't relate to the idea of not living or visiting Israel because of increased danger. To me, that's part of what it means to be a Jew. To share the burden of the Jewish people. Obviously it's not practical for everyone to live in Israel or even to visit. But not because we don't want to take our part of Klal Yisrael.
And that doesn't mean as a mother you can't be nervous. Thousands and thousands of mothers are nervous for their children right now. And they still live in our land.
