Hard to say.
Most simchas don't start before 8:30.
Unless you know that they are very timely people. But 2 and a half hours after it is called for is very long.

This is in Lakewood. Maybe it’s starting early because it’s Sunday and many kids get out of school early? Or some people aren’t working?
