These are handmade, comfortable, and don't budge. I bought it originally for under scarves (instead of a non slip headband or bobo shaper) but I like it for night time because it doesn't move.

Im " litvish yeshivish " never cover my hair at night wether niddah or not. I learned I didn't have to.

A friend told me she was on a video call with her married friend and was shocked that her hair was not covered.
That was the first time in my life I ever heard of people not covering their hair in their house.

I wear pretieds and Israeli style.

I don't go to the door. I don't care who it is.
Also I have tichels nearby if I need.
And also it's not actually such an issue to not cover your hair in your house and someone comes. But I won't get into that.
Lastly.. I wonder if it's even unhealthy to cover hair when asleep. Doesn't ones head need to breathe at some point? I would imagine it being claustrophobic.

I don't cover in bed when not niddah

For niddah, I have hoodie tee shirts that I use for pjs, and I start the night with the hood up. It doesn't always stay on, and sometimes in the morning dh will ask me to cover my hair.

We both learned it's okay for him to see things in passing, but not to look.

Yeshivish/Chareidi whatever you want to call it
I always keep my hair covered at home but never when I sleep.
I tried right after my wedding when I was a niddah but I could not sleep. DH called his rav (yeshivish from Lakewood) who said if I never cover my hair at night, I don't have to cover during niddah, so I never did it again.
I can't even nap in a head covering - it's so uncomfortable!

Chassidish, I don’t cover in bed. For years I didn’t cover at all in the house, as kids are getting older starting to cover by day more and more since they end up bringing friends over and buses etc. so it just stays on. But definitely not in bed.

Lakewood yeshivish.
I buy a comfortable cotton prettied with short tails.
I start with it on my head. I prioritize wearing it so my husband can say shma.
Usually within a few minutes, it comes off,and I put it right next to my pillow. Easy to pull on as soon as I wake up.
My kids don't come in to my room, and if they do, then that's their problem.

I wear a snood all other times out of my bed. I also don't wear socks to sleep, even though we hold that legs and feet need to be covered and I don't stay under the blanket.

My husband shared a story from R Shmuel Meir Katz (one of BMG poskim) when a man asked what they should do, his wife's pajamas keep going up when she's a nidda. His response was "she's in her bed, don't look".

If you don't cover in bed or in the house..
Do your children see you uncovered? Is your bedroom door always locked? Do you have lots of teenager sons?? Do you keep your eindow shades open to get sunlight and fresh air??

I am super sensory. Both scarfs and pre-tieds drove me crazy at night. After trying many options this is by far my favorite:

However warning: it says to only hand wash. I don't hand wash anything, lol. I wash cold delicate and lay flat to dry, but after a while they get very stretched out and don't stay on well anymore. Could be if I'd hand wash or wash less often would last more. It's been on sale for a while so still worth it for me.

There are some others on this site that look similar, and one day I'll try those. Possibly the more expensive ones last better.
