I want to stock up on gifts for dc therapists and perhaps can find something on Black Friday or pre Black Friday special.

Please share ideas!
My budget is around $10 as we have so many to give to.
I know some will say to give cash or increase the amount per gift, but that’s not really affordable for us, which is also why I prefer to buy something on special.

(Don’t worry we also give a personal handwritten card which takes about 2 all-nighters and carpal tunnel to take care of…)

If you mean school based therapists like speech therapy, you can see if you can find popular kosher cookbooks on sale for $10 near you (for frum therapists).

I’d rather not do a cookbook if it’s not something they can exchange.

Yes, speaking of school based therapists

I’m a school based SLP. It doesn’t seem like alot, but if a few students each give $5-$10 it does add up. So I’d rather a nice card with $10! I saved up all the money I got and at the end of the year I was able to buy myself a piece of jewelery it was very meaningful to me.

And of course it’s all appreciated, if someone can’t afford to do anything I think it’s important to write a card at least. I keep all the cards I’m given in a box and reread them sometimes when I’m feeling down about my career choice.

I hear
I wonder though if it’s location specific. Because I’d feel super stupid to give $10. I’ve given $20 in the past and still felt so stupid because even though it’s a lot for me and adds up for you, it’s still weird for someone that makes at least double of that per hour…

I live in Brooklyn.
Yes we make double that but I’m still making less than my secretary friends, I’m still on Medicaid, I’m not paid over the summer, have to double think what I buy when I food shop, etc. We’re not rolling in the dough like people think!

What about a $10 Amazon gift card?

What about looking for beauty gift sets under $10? Like a hand cream or lip balm

You can also give a hot cocoa bomb. I think oh nuts has for under 10 and they're usually presented nicely

As a therapist I have to say this is so kind and thoughtful of you. Most of the time we are overlooked as people assume we rake.it in and have such an easy job
