I know people are just going to say that the famous and rich have access to everything etc. but I'm genuinely curious how they would find doctors with actual degrees (ie ability to prescibe) who are willing to give weight loss shots to skinny people who just want to be skinnier. Who is it that's doing this and why isn't anyone going after the doctors for malpractice who gives a 120lb celebrity drugs to become 100lb??

who are these doctors??

Hello, big pharma ?? Ever heard of it?

I don’t think ozempic and other shots would fly like that in more regulated countries

okay I know that but like how does it happen? what's the reason the doctor will give to prescribe it?? like how do they justify it? like you go and say I know I don't need it but I will pay you more if you give it to me? sorry if this is naive!

They do? In my experience, even if you have lots of $$$ they'll only prescribe if you're a candidate weight wise.

The same way Matthew Perry got all the ketamine that killed him—and Ozempic isn’t even a controlled substance. Fancy, celebrity doctors. (Except you can also get things like Wegovy online from companies like “hers” I think. It’s pretty easy to lie about what you weight on an online consult

They may be not so heavy but have comorbidities like thyroid issues, high cholesterol, etc that make them a candidate.

Ozempic is a long term medication.

Many people start off fat, get thin, and stay on because they have to or they gain it back.

Some skinny people develop type 2 diabetes. But I doubt much of the crowd you're talking about is in that category.

‘Big pharma’ invents and produces the drugs. They don’t prescribe them.
