I'm curious to hear how many imas make the same thing every week and how many change it up. Personally, I like to change up the salads, dips, and desserts, but keep things like challah, chicken soup, salmon, chicken, and cholent the same.
How about you?

I always make chicken soup, chicken, rice, gefilte fish, and cholent. Any other things are extra and I switch up.
But then there are times I do completely different like if dh wants to make some meat or if I am sick of chicken.

We get bored of same foods. Make different soups, mains, and sides. Salads and dips are generally same.

We are chassidish for reference, so have a traditional menu that we stick to. Here and there we switch up with different dips or compote, or an extra kugel if Rosh Chodesh is on shabbos. but otherwise the meal is the same and predictable each week.

Never the same. Sometimes lentil
Soup, sometimes pea soup, sometimes chicken or vegetable. Sometimes chicken on the bone sometimes off. Sometimes a roast sometimes meatballs. 3 sides are never the same. Dessert never the same. I’d be bored cooking and eating the same food

We have special steak at night, it's something the kids really look forward to. We also have created another tradition of a meat board with homemade chicken and meat during the day, which also makes things special.
We enjoy the family time together as we enjoy our food. Small family and this makes things special for us.

I like the consistency of traditional foods. We switch up the dips and occasionally make a fancier salad, and if it’s Rosh Chodesh or an extra Sefer Torah then I’ll add apple or Lukshen kugel, but again, all predictable foods.
It’s the one thing I have down pat and don’t have to rack my brains to make everyone happy!!

Probably the only thing that's 100% constant is the challah (but switch up the types) and gefilte fish - that I make exactly the same every week for my picky kids. Everything else depends on my mood Wednesday night when making my menu! Eg soup and chicken Friday night, cholent Shabbos day - all subject to change. Dips totally random. Salads I buy different vegetables and either roast some before or make something up on Shabbos. Gotta keep things interesting for me as the chef too!
