My son got chasson torah on simchas torah.
They will be doing it in my house but it will be a small kiddush.
They are making a fruit platter and cakes platters.
I am making chulent and herring and dips.
How do I make it nice for him? He is very happy about it.
What else should I serve?

I make my own cured salmon / gravelax and it’s very appreciated. But needs about 2 days to cure.
Also overnight kugels…cold cuts…jerky….

If you use disposables you may want to put up a large garbage bin. Enough quantities of napkins glasses etc.
Even if it's a small one you may want to check your have enough if Shabbos toilet paper, people may need to use your bathroom.

Thanks.
Yes I have two types of kugel.
It's early and I don't want to make fleishigs.
I should of ordered miniatures but it's too late.
Really only men will be there.
Tuna and lox with dips and challah rolls I'll put out also.
And I guess will dress the table with fancy paper goods.

I don’t think tuna is necessary and it has a really strong smell Hiding
