Is monopoly and life too difficult to grasp for a 6 year old? Any other ideas that a 6 year old boy would enjoy?

Banana split
Othello
Mastermind
Mancala
Snakes & slides/ladders
Games like monopoly even if they are on a level to grasp it is way too long for them.

My seven year old has been loving monopoly for probably close to a year already. It really depends on the kid.
In the beginning I had to read his cards for him and do the math of giving change etc for him but now he can do it on his own.
