I've been living I ey for the last 11 years and bezh planning to move back to lakewood this summer. I have 4 daughters between primary and 5th grade. We are a yeshivish family but not extreme. Dh is still learning half a day. I would love to send to tiferes but I don't have any real pull so don't think I would get in. What other school would be a good option for me without any real pull.
Thank you

Since you are dealing with older grades, you need to find out realistically which schools might have space in those grades. We can all make suggestions of schools, but you need to deal with the reality. Is there any school you DO have pull in? That would be a starting point. Also what is it about Tiferes that you specifically want, that could make another school work for you?

I have a friend who moved back with kids in this age range (quite a few years ago) and her kids did not all get into the same school. It was a matter of one school took her oldest, the next school took her 2nd and her younger kids ended up going there as well.

Curious what made you say Tiferes? Did you go there? If yes maybe that’s pull?

If you have friends that live in Lakewood with girls in school you can try to find out which school has full classes in those grade and which ones may have room. As chayalle said , you may have to split your kids.
Some suggestions of schools those types, bnos Yaakov, chein bais Yaakov, moreshes, bais Faiga, Shiras Chaim

Getting into school is a different game when moving. You have to see which schools have a spot for each child. Some grades are already too full to take another kid. If you want to try Tiferes, call them to see if it's even an option.
This type of applying I assume can be done one school at a time.

As per individual recommendations, most of the schools are fantastic. You have to narrow it down based on more factors.

Thank you everyone for all your responses.
The reason I said Tiferes is because I have some friends and relatives that send there and they are extremely happy with the school. I actually have the most pull to Bais Tova but it's sounds a little too balebatish for me. I also have a little pull to shiras chaim but I don't know much about the school....

Tiferes could be for you it’s simple yeshivish crowd but hard to get into
Bais tova is more fancy into the brands and your girls coming from e”y used to simple temimesdik life wont be used to it everyone has London kids shoes and state briefcase for example
Shiras Chaim could be a good idea or even moreshes same owner but more simple and easier to get into
I know 2 families that moved back from e”y and went to bnos tzipa it’s simple warm yeshivish and smaller than tiferes

How are your girls English skills- reading, writing?
If they're possibly not up to their grade level, consider a school that has experience with it and a strong resource room.
Bais Faiga might be a good option because they've done this so many times.

Shiras Chaim is a nice, fairly simpler, leaning yeshivish. Lots of Rebbeim type families.
Bnos Tzippa also is a nice place.

Girls do get into older grades. You can call and ask the possibilities.
I do know ppl that moved and had to split between schools.

They're English skills are pretty good I would say maybe a year behind since they've been getting private tutoring for many years.

Does shiras chaim and bnos tzippa have a 6th grade already?

I send to bnos yaakov. They've definitely taken in families moving back for ey in the past. In general hard to get in but you can try. Excellent school.

Bnos Tzippa is a great suggestion. Simple crowd, Yeshivish but not the most yeshivish and not totally impossible
