My cousin asked me to help her decorate her bedrooms, choose furniture, linen, light fixtures, etc. I have no background in interior design, but enjoyed the work immensely, and the results were amazing. Really brag-worthy lol
I have been looking for a job for a while, and would love to go into this field officially.Being that I have no education I don't know the program to do sketches (autocad?) , the proper way to choose paint colors, and all other official things. I do have a great sense of style, and I guess I can be a decorater vs. a designer?
I don't have a lot of money to invest in schooling now. I was wondering if the professionals out there can give me free or low cost resources (under $500) that are actually helpful, and in general give me some guidance how I can go into the field without investing that much
I actually know of a lady who is a successful designer (does hotels in florida) and never did any schooling. Sketching jobs she gives out to freelancers and the rest she figured out herself. I wonder if I can succeed like that too
Any and all advice and resources appreciated! Thank you!
