We are moving next week an hour a way from the main community. We are trying to establish a new community as housing is so much cheaper and this is the only way we can afford to own.
How do you manage an hour commute for the kids to school each day. For now there is no school bus. We are hoping to have one in a few months. I work from home but will probably end up working in the main community as I need to drive my kids in for school.
Would love to have any tips regarding commuting daily. I can not imagine getting home after 6pm every night to start my household chores and dinner.

BH I work full time but my commute is shorter than yours. even so I never ever leave dinner cooking for the night if. dinners are always cooked in advance. I cook for the week on sunday. some people meal prep, some do crockpot meals, some use their freezer. but it’s not realistic or start cooking dinner when you’re getting home at 6
I grew up commuting an hour to/from school each way but I had a bus. my kids BH have a bus now
