Hi,
I am Iy"H making a bar mitzvah in about a month and looking for something for myself and my older HS DD to wear. We went to some stores in Lakewood but the prices were completely out of range (think 400-500+ dollars). I'm looking for something nice but trying to keep it around $300. Does such a thing exists? Are there gemachs/rentals for this (not looking for a gown, but a real nice simcha dress).

I saw dresses in perrisinkle that swem fancier in tge 300s. Not sure if its nice enough for you but its nicer than shobbos. They were tulle overlay w embroidered flowers.

Stores are already starting their sales on dressy. I’d look through bp for those to start.

I actually bought two gorgeous outfits for DS' bar mitzvah in serendipity. They were brand new with tags and very cheap.

I bought a beautiful dress for a simcha from nordstrom. For $50. I was prepared to spend more but nordstrom and nordstrom rack have a lot of tzanua dresses in a very affordable range.

I got my daughter a beautiful dress recently in surelle for $300. Some things were definitely more but there options

I also noticed simcha wear in periwinkle.
Brooklyn Southwest sometimes has too but you need to ask for help there.
Where did you see things for $500?
