I registered a product I bought and now I get emails from the company offering free products to test them. The email says to purchase the product and they will give a full refund to my Amazon account. I'm wondering if there's a catch. Did anyone ever do it?

Not the exact same, but similar.
Twice someone posted on a WhatsApp group asking people to buy their product and put a review up, then he refunded the money via Zelle. Both times it was fine.
The third time it was a different guy and he didn’t refund (maybe he got busy, although I did send him a couple of reminders) so I just returned the product through Amazon returns.

You can always just initiate a return.

I'll just say this doesn't sound legit. They may not be scamming you and then may be just breaking Amazon's rules. If they were seriously looking for product testers, they would send you the product free without playing the refund game.

This officially isn't allowed on Amazon unless it's through their own testing program called Vine. People have had their accounts banned for writing reviews in exchange for free products. Not saying everyone always gets caught but just be aware!

It clearly says no review is necessary. And if they get caught and thrown from Amazon, does it have anything to do with me?

It's not really fair for the people who are relying on your review. There is no way that you can truly give an unbiased review of a product you got for free in exchange for a review. That's a form of bribery, and we know from Torah what bribery does for justice. There is a reason why even Amazon feels it necessary to acknowledge the bias by declaring it a Vine review.
