I'm looking to buy a new sheitel and recently learned about a "silk top" option which is different from "skin top" and lace.
Right now I only have skin top sheitels - does anyone have a "silk top" sheitel and can share their thoughts on this type of sheitel? Does it require maintenance like lace?
Thanks in advance.

It's not. The sheitelmacher I spoke to offers both options (and also lace).

Not that I know of. Is the silk top flatter and looks more like lace?

Yes, the idea is that it is more natural. It doesn't have a set part like a skin top. I am concerned about it potentially being high maintenance like lace however.

It is not the same thing at the sheitelmacher who offered it to me. Perhaps you know it by a different name?
