I have a 6 month old baby who is nursing. Was invited to a concert that is far away from me. If I leave him at home, I’ll be gone too long (at least 6 hours) so that’s not an option. Can I bring him with me or will it be too noisy and hectic? Also where would I nurse him?
Should I just skip the concert?

If you have baby ear defenders and a baby carrier you could go!

I could maybe get ear protectors but I don’t like using a baby carrier, they hurt my back

Then skip. Doesn't sound like you'll enjoy yourself with him there anyway, why then go?

Other than nursing, can you count on him to either sleep or be quietly awake? If he's going to spend the time fussing or crying, it's going to ruin the concert for you a d everyone near you.

Ear protectors.

Most likely they will not allow carriages.
Figure you will be sitting most of the time with baby in your lap.

Baby carrier while sitting down shouldn’t hurt your back, it’s more to help you not have to hold the baby the hold time and/or for baby to feel secure and hopefully fall asleep.

And definitely ear protectors otherwise please don’t take the baby.

Even with the ear protector I’d skip. They only do so much..

Don't even think about going & not using ear defenders, that's really not okay to do to a baby.
In any case, if he'll be fussy & cry, he'll bother the people around you. Best is to skip the concert or get baby to take a bottle.

Can you pump beforehand so you can leave your baby home with a bottle?

There are venues where infants don't belong. Concerts and theaters are two of them. When you become a parent, you temporarily give up certain activities until your child/ren are old enough to be left behind or to participate appropriately. Period.

I think it depends on you and your baby. Are they a good sleeper who can sleep in a crowded setting or will they be fussy. Are you comfortable nursing in your seat or will you need to leave and find a private space. Will you be able to leave if baby gets fussy.
