I stopped wearing makeup daily during covid and I've never looked back. My skin is so much better than It ever was. When I wore makeup daily. I felt like was always fixing my skin and now it's just great. I only use moisturizer and not even daily.
I really want to start wearing some makeup everyday, though. I don't have anything specific in mind. But I don't want to damage my skin again. Any ideas of what I could use? I was using high quality stuff before, and as much as they claim it's healthy. It's clearly not.
I'm in my low 30s, USA.

How exactly did it damage your skin? I don’t get it.

I find Laura Mercier to be the least damaging to my skin
Go with a tinted moisturizer

if your skin looks great why do you need makeup? just focus on eyes and lips. I have great skin BH and don’t wear anything other than mascara and lipstick.

I find lipstick ruins my lips. Do you have one to recommend?

No idea, but I went from having skin that wasn't particularly nice to radiant beautiful skin just by stopping everything

Natural makeup brands like Dr Haushka
Shabbos makeup brands that are made from natural mineral ingredients
Korean beauty
The reason why I reccomend them for you is because makeup ages the skin over time and if you want to be more youthful I think the best bet is to use natural brands. I’m switching to natural based products because I see the areas where I use conventional makeup the most my skin quality is worse.
K beauty brands are an excellent choice because they also contain skin healthy ingredients. Can find them online or on iherb search k beauty makeup

And I know this isn't the point of the thread but when I Google iherb the exact products you mentioned pop up. A little freaky. Google knows everything.

I have very sensitive lips and these wear well: https://tartecosmetics.com/sho......html
It’s more of a balm than a lipstick but at least it’s hydrating. Buffed pink is a my lips but better color.
Wait for it to go on sale, they do it pretty often with huge discounts

You seem to be allergic. It’s an individual reaction. Noone can help you here, only through your own trial and error
