I'm wondering about giving my child GABA to assist with falling asleep and anxiety.
Did anyone try this? Was it helpful?

Can you tell me more?
What age child do you use it for? Are there any side effects, can we overdose on it?
Can you link what you use?

No, it's a different neurotransmitter.

Pharmagaba from thorne

Can have a paradoxical effect and increase hyperactivity, anxiety or agitation because it can convert easily to glutamate. Start low and slow. Give in the evening because it causes drowsiness.

Thank you! I have so many questions, I really appreciate you answering!
When you say it was helpful, it helped only with sleep or also decreasing anxiety?
Did you work with a doctor?

Definitely made them sleepy but for my child only melatonin actually helped them fall asleep. Also less anxiety and agitation.
This wasn't given under the guidance of a practitioner though we've worked with several over the years.
